‘The Originals’ season 2 spoilers: Joseph Morgan talks Nina Dobrev, Tatia
Season 2 of “The Originals” kicked off on The CW last night, and we would definitely use the word “crazy” to describe it. After all, it’s hard to think of anything else when you remember that the episode decided to bring back Kol and Finn, but in the bodies of different people.
So to add to the cake of crazy by getting Nina Dobrev to come over as Tatia is pretty substantial, and it will make the episode airing later this fall one to remember. As a matter of fact, this could be an installment so crazy, some of the show’s stars are hesitant to say a whole lot about it.
For example, just take a look at the short message Joseph Morgan handed off to TVLine when discussing what could be coming for this story:
“It’s shocking, I think … It’s pretty grim. I don’t want to spoil too much, but it’s definitely revealing of the brothers and what happened back then.”
Klaus and Elijah Mikaelson both had feelings for Tatia, who was the originator of the Petrova line of doppelgangers, centuries ago during the age of the Vikings. There are parts of this story that will mirror the Stefan – Elena – Damon love triangle that makes up “The Vampire Diaries,” and at least for one, we’re okay with that. We would be slightly more annoyed if that eventually ended up being the focus of this entire series.
After all, there are more important questions to ask and wonder about here right now, including whether or not Mikael and Esther in New Orleans are going to ruin everything for our lead characters.
