‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: Jack Walton, Overload, more wild card rumors

We’re not going to stop reporting on possible “X Factor” wild card acts until the show airs on ITV this coming weekend, and that brings us to the latest batch of rumors that are floating around out there on these contestants.

We begin with the supposed list of mentors who are picking the wild card for each act. We’ve heard that Cheryl Cole will pick a Boy for Mel B, and she will pick a Group for Louis Walsh. Meanwhile, Louis will pick an Over for Simon Cowell, and he will pick a Girl for Cheryl.

There have been sightings of Jack Walton, eliminated this past weekend, out with other contestants, which leads many to assume that he got the spot for the Boys. Meanwhile, there are heavy rumors that group Overload, despite not getting to Judges’ Houses, could still return to the competition with the Groups. Our fear is that Louis helping Simon will be a golden ticket for Stevi Ritchie, while Lola Saunders seems like a near-lock for the Girls. There is “Xtra Factor” footage of a girl who looks like Lola in the background of the house, but it’s a blurry-enough image that gives us a little bit of doubt.

These announcements will be made officially on Saturday, and of the ones we’ve mentioned, it feels like Overload is the one that has a real chance of making it very far in the competition. The others, especially Stevi, may be viewed more as fodder.
