ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 2 preview: Do Castle and Beckett have a wedding date?

For those of you wondering whether or not Castle and Beckett could surprise everyone and marry on Monday night’s “Castle” episode, we have a response for you right now: It’s not going to happen.

If you’re looking for a silver lining, though, we also luckily have that: The new sneak peek for Tuesday night’s “Montreal,” per TVLine, seems to give it away: A month. This is how long Stana Katic’s character apparently needs to get herself together in the wake of everything that happened, and the last thing she really wants to do is rush herself, and get into a position where the wedding is anything short of spectacular, or what the two parties really want for themselves.

What is interesting about this is that it would set the wedding presumably at around the time of “Time of Our Lives,” which is an episode coming up in November written by Terri Edda Miller. We wondered given her pedigree, plus the sweeps period, if this could be the episode, and now we’re more curious than ever. We know that this episode also has a sort of alternate-reality premise to it in that you’re going to see Rick and Kate wonder about what their futures would be like if they hadn’t met, but that does not mean the entire episode will be this structure. There is still a little bit of time for them to get together and say their vows at the very end.

If nothing else, take this news as hope that the characters will be married at some point this year … probably. We know better now than to say for sure.
