Are you reasonably new to “Supernatural,” or at least haven’t seen some of the older seasons since they first aired? If you answer yes to either of these questions, or are just a diehard fan of the show, then you may appreciate what The CW is doing on Monday night.
The network is airing the biggest retrospective special that they have for the show to date, which is going to feature Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and more looking back at the past nine seasons of the show, some of their favorite moments, and the journey of the brothers Winchester as they have matured as hunters, and hopefully as people (while having a little bit of fun along the way).
We feel like this will be a lot of fun, mostly because “Supernatural” has always been the little engine that could. It’s the only scripted series on The CW left over from the days of the WB, and there have been many times where the series narrowly escaped cancellation during some of its earlier years. At one point, it was even moved to the TV graveyard otherwise known as Friday nights.
Through it all, though, this show has remained an audience, and now is one of the network’s staples. It is so successful in The CW’s eyes that they even tried to make a spin-off in “Supernatural: Bloodlines.” Sure, it wasn’t very good, but they at least tried.
The official season 10 premiere airs on the network Tuesday, and given that we now have Demon Dean, crazy things are likely ahead.
