‘The Originals’ season 2 spoilers: Phoebe Tonkin on eventual Claire Holt scenes

Is Claire Holt going to return to “The Originals” on more than one occasion? We come here today bearing good news, and that is that yes, she will be seen in at least one episode beyond the premiere. That has been all but confirmed already, but we wanted to wait until something official came out before we wrote here for sure.

Luckily, that something official is here courtesy of some comments from series star Phoebe Tonkin, who is one of many stars of the show out there promoting the new season. Speaking to TVLine, she explained that there will be a chance for Rebekah and Hayley to have some time together on-screen, which is especially important given that Rebekah has her child with Klaus:

“[They’ll spend time] eventually, a little bit. That’s also hard because [Klaus and Hayley] have to keep up this ruse that the baby is dead. Essentially, Hayley has to pretend that she’s still in mourning, so she can’t just contact Rebekah and say, ‘Hey, send me some photos.’ Hayley doesn’t even know what [Hope] looks like at the moment, but since the plan is to eventually get the baby back, I’m sure Hayley and Rebekah will run into each other again.”

Unfortunately, we feel like Holt’s participation in another TV project in “Aquarius” will limit just how much of her we end up seeing, though we’ll sure that the parties involved will work it out. There doesn’t seem to be anything keeping Claire from wanting to come back from time to time, even if she doesn’t have the schedule room at the moment to be a full-fledged regular.
