‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: See Elizabeth Mitchell go full Snow Queen
At the end of Sunday night’s all-new episode of “Once Upon a Time,” we were first introduced to who is most-likely going to be the Big Bad of the first half of this season: The Snow Queen (as we currently know her), played by former “Lost” star Elizabeth Mitchell.
In the photo to the left, you can see just what Mitchell will look like when she gets a chance to don her full costume at some point later this season. We understand that there could be some confusion here, given that Elsa was supposedly the Snow Queen. The thing here is that “Frozen” was based off of that fairy tale, but there were so many changes made during the process that the show thought it more than fine to go ahead and present the original version of the character along with the new one that we are going to find out more about.
At the moment, the only thing that we are hoping and pining for is that this is not Elsa’s mother, mostly because that would be so annoying and predictable for this show. How many times can they really utilize this twist? While it may not seem like it sometimes, you can have an interesting villain without them being connected by blood ties to someone else on the show.
Of course, the largest mystery we wonder with Mitchell’s character right now is who she is in Storybrooke, what her relationship is like to some of the others, and why we haven’t seen her in the town until now. Clearly, she’s been here for a little while, given that she is operating a shop in town.
