‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4, episode 3 preview: The Elizabeth Mitchell Snow Queen mystery

Once -Tonight on “Once Upon a Time” brought us “White Out,” an episode that nearly saw Emma Swan frozen (get it?) in a block of ice. Luckily, she escaped, and the rest of the episode revolved around trying to figure out what happened to Anna.

Next week, we are going to hopefully find answers to some other questions. The episode ended with us getting our first glimpse at Elizabeth Mitchell’s character in Storybrooke, and what we know for now is pretty simple. She is seemingly the Snow Queen, and she fittingly works at an ice cream store. It is somewhat crazy that she has been a part of the town for this long, but that is just the way things happen on this show sometimes. It’s larger than you think!

There are a few other story threads that will pick up during “Rocky Road” that were forgotten somewhat during “White Out.” For example, you will learn a little more about Maid Marian, and how the curse is impacting her ability to survive now after being brought to the present by Emma. This will be something that further tests Regina, and her desire to do the right thing for Robin Hood. If she ever wants a future with him, she has to realize that being the Evil Queen is not the way to do it. She’s already shown she is a changed woman once, and she will have to do that again.

Hopefully, we’ll have even more on this episode tomorrow, including a full synopsis.
