‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8, episode 4 preview: Raj’s next big event

Will Raj be able to take his relationship to the next level? That is something that we are going to see play out on Monday night’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory,” as the character is without taking a big step. After all, it is not particularly often that you get a chance to introduce your girlfriend to all of your friends.

For Raj, this is especially a big deal. Emily is only the second girl we’ve seen him with, and really the first since he started to be comfortable in social situations. She’s also very different from Lucy, at least in that she does not have any noticeable social quirks so far, other than at least being into some different things in the entertainment sphere. She’s likable, personable, and she understands some of his insecurities.

With all this being, will she be comfortable being around all of Raj’s friends? This is something that we’re going to see play out when she and Penny specifically collide. While this is not a part of the sneak peek below, remember the history that is present for Kunal Nayyar and Kaley Cuoco’s characters. While they never actually slept together, she allowed him to pretend like they did so that he could have a little more social clout. If this comes out, it would be a good thing to ease some of the awkwardness … even if it would make Raj more of a liar in Emily’s eyes.
