‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: Wild cards confirmed; Stevi Ritchie, Lola Saunders, Concept candidates

Just in case you are curious, there will be some wild cards for “The X Factor” UK. After all, it was basically confirmed that there will be wild cards this season, though we already revealed that a few days ago.

It is still unclear how it will work. The current suspicion is that a mentor will choose the act for another mentor. For example, maybe Louis Walsh picks for Simon Cowell, and Stevi Ritchie somehow gets into the live shows. We do feel like of the Overs, he is the obvious choice. The same goals for Jack Walton and the Boys, Concept and the Groups, and Lola Saunders and the Girls. We’re interested to see if any of these picks are wrong.

Do any of these wild cards have a real shot of making it far in the competition? The only thing we would say is that years ago, Melanie Amaro was effectively a wild card for Simon Cowell on the American version, and she won. Concept could be helped by the subtle One Direction connection, and Lola has an emotional story. If Stevi makes it, we could see him being a Johnny Robinson, who lasts for a few weeks much to the surprise of almost everyone, including quite possibly his own mentor Simon Cowell.

With 16 acts next week, the one thing that we do know for certain is this: We are going to be in for a heck of a lengthy show this coming weekend.
