‘The X Factor’ results: Did Lizzy Pattinson, Ben Haenow, Jay James advance with Simon Cowell?

The latest news -Last night, “The X Factor” chose to show us the vast majority of the action from Simon Cowell’s group of Overs, but they did not give us a full view as to who was going to advance, and who would be sent home.

Well, we found out some more of that information at the start of Sunday’s show, and we’ll start by giving you the list of artists Simon Cowell decided to put through. We feel like this decision was really obvious, at least so long as talent is considered the most important thing: Fleur East and Jay James were two extremely obvious choices.

Ben Haenow, meanwhile, was probably a tossup before he went out and killed it on the show yesterday. He was the first artist that Simon decided to advance, while Fleur was brought forward after that. The final choice came between Jay and Helen Fulthorpe, and Helen’s mistakes yesterday really doomed her. We feel like Simon really did not want another Sam Bailey-like singer, and just looking for a reason to get rid of her, sad as that may be to say.

We were somewhat shocked by the entire Lizzy Pattinson edit on the show, given that they didn’t give her much airtime almost the entirety of her journey. Regardless of who her brother is, they should have given Britain more of a chance to get to know her. We were never able to really judge whether or not she was legitimately great or not.

There is still a wild card act for this group that will be announced, and we feel for some reason like it’ll be Stevi Ritchie … just for fun.
