ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 spoilers: When will the next David Clarke shocker arrive?

Is the emergence of David Clarke on “Revenge” going to be a story that takes almost all season to unload? Based on what we’re seeing right now, it certainly does not look like it. (Spoilers ahead!)

Per a new report coming in right now via SpoilerTV, within a few episodes, you can expect David’s return to be headline news once again. This means that Emily will probably not have to wait too long to find out about it, even if there are many other questions she may have about how in the world he was able to come back, and why he was okay to claim that he was “dead” for so long.

For us, the most interesting question that we have is how the show is going to be able to tell an interesting story when you consider this. After all, there is one thing that you really have to remember right now: It was not always the plan for the show to have David brought back to life. This is more of a recent endeavor, and something that was brought on by the showrunner change from Mike Kelley to Sunil Nayar. With this in mind, we are feeling a little trepidation about what the motivation here might be, and whether this decision was a quick one made for injecting drama without thinking of the long-term implications of it.

Ultimately, we’ll have to wait and see, but at least we have a new episode to discuss tonight.
