‘Hell on Wheels’ season 4, episode 11 preview: Air date for Anson Mount, cast’s return

Hell on Wheels -Hell on Wheels” has spent much of the past two and a half months on the air, so next week the show is doing a very interesting thing: Not airing an all-new episode.

What’s the deal here? For one, know that there are still three episodes left this season. Unlike season 3, there are 13 episodes rather than 10, and plenty of stories left to be told for Anson Mount, Colm Meaney, and the rest of the cast. The next new episode does not even have a title yet, but we know now the official air date: Saturday, November 8.

To be honest, we’re not a huge fan of the hiatus unless the goal is to give everyone behind the scenes enough time to make them perfect. Hiatuses can make things trickier on some viewers. We understand that next weekend is a “Walking Dead” marathon, but what after that? The only other Saturday-night competition that is out there is college football.

As for the story that remains this season, the biggest thread is going to be seeing just what comes next for Ruth after she made the decision to shoot Sydney Snow. He is not necessarily dead, but he is clinging onto life. If he dies, she may still have to pay the consequences for that, regardless of whether or not many in Cheyenne feel she was just with her action. After all, Cullen’s alternative was to simply arrest the Marshall / outlaw, and let him rot out in a prison cell for the rest of his days.
