‘Longmire’ season 4: While awaiting show’s fate, Bailey Chase lands new TV gig

Branch -Even before “Longmire” was officially canceled by A&E, there were questions about whether or not Bailey Chase would have a role in the show’s fourth season. After all, remember what happened with Barlow in the closing minutes of the finale? We heard the gunshot, but we still did not know if Branch managed to survive.

So while we wait to find out if another network or service like Netflix has picked up the show, let alone if Branch is sticking around, we can at least tell you where Chase will be appearing next. According to Deadline, the actor will appear in a multiple-episode story on NBC’s “Chicago PD,” where he will be taking on the role of DEA Agent Lang. This is a character that will have a little buildup on the show, as the Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) character will have spent a little time debating whether or not she wants to join a new task force led by the character.

While there is not a whole lot else known about the role, hopefully this gig is a great chance to let “Chicago PD” fans see the great work that Bailey can do. During season 3, we got to see a much darker side of the Branch character, and there were times where we were pretty terrified about what he could do next. With that in mind, we know that he can play both good and evil pretty effectively.

You can catch new “Chicago PD” episodes every Wednesday, and our preview of the next one is at this link.
