‘Chicago PD’ season 2, episode 3 preview: Is Halstead in danger?

“Chicago PD” has started to get the ball rolling on its second season, but the thing to remember here in the process is that when it comes to surprises, there really is so much more still to come.

When it comes to potentially scary situations at the moment, there is really no one who has more to worry about than Halstead. He is going to have to deal first and foremost with someone getting shot on accident, when he was the intended target; in moving forward from there, there will still be a bounty on his life, and he and the rest of the PD have to figure out what they want to do about this issue.

Is there going to be something further that happens in this episode? Definitely, but it is admittedly a little hard to focus on much else when you have an issue like this that is staring you almost squarely in the face.

“The bounty on Halstead’s (Jesse Lee Soffer) head becomes a serious reality as an innocent bartender takes a bullet meant for him. Olinsky (Elias Koteas) tries to reason with Bembenek (guest star Jason Singer) to call off the hit, to no avail. Voight (Jason Beghe) and the team keep this investigation in-house to find the hired assassin. Meanwhile, after a tense interaction at district Platt (Amy Morton) and Nadia (guest star Stella Maeve) come to an understanding.”
