‘Chicago PD’ season 2 spoilers: When could Casey cross over?
If you love the crossovers between “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago PD,” then the following is news that you will be very curious to know: There is probably going to be one involving Jesse Spencer’s Casey happening at some point in 2015.
While it may not be addressed on the show right now, the character’s issues with Voight on “Chicago PD” will be addressed during a season 2 episode, which may hopefully be a bump for the lesser-rated of the two series. In speaking about the story to TVLine, executive producer Matt Olmstead had the following to say as a teaser:
“It all started with Voight almost losing his mind, trying to convince Casey not to get his own son jammed up, and obviously [he] went too far, apologized for it, copped to it, but Casey’s never going to forgive that … That day’s coming [where they cross paths]. I’m not quite sure what it’s going to be, but it’ll be powerful.”
Personally, we are certainly more than excited for that day to be here, even if at the moment the show is also wrapped up doing a very different sort of storyline when it comes to Voight and his work with Internal Affairs. As we saw in this past episode, Lindsay is not exactly pleased that all of this was going on, and that she was never really told about it in the process. Clearly, a lot of people all have axes to grind with the guy.
Also, there is another distraction that “Chicago PD” has to deal with before focusing too much on anything else: The massive threat against Halstead’s life.
