ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4, episode 2 preview: Emily VanCamp, Gabriel Mann, and a surprise

Emily -Sunday night’s “Revenge” looks to be beyond intense, and there are a number of reasons for that. Not only is Victoria Grayson out of the asylum, but it looks like Charlotte has some problems of her own that are beyond substantial.

After everything that she has been through, which includes the death of Declan, the supposed death of Conrad, her family’s downfall, and now depression / a drug addiction, Charlotte has decided that it may be time to end it all. In the sneak peek below, you can see Emily and Nolan discover that she is standing atop a building. With this, Emily VanCamp and Gabriel Mann’s characters realize quickly that they are going to act quickly.

If there is one thing that may be helping them here, it is that Charlotte may not be 100% certain about killing herself in the first place; there’s a chance this is a part of an elaborate cry for help. Why do we wonder this? The biggest reason is because given her resources, there are probably many things that she could do that are not nearly so public. There may be a part of her that wants to be seen, and in turn, this is a good thing for all of our other characters in the Hamptons.

Of course, Emily is probably realizing quickly that her thoughts of having a reasonably-normal life are not going to come to pass. Then again, there was also little opportunity at all that she was going to be able to live normally, anyway. She would never allow herself to do that completely.
