‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: Will Ressler’s pill story play a part?

When we first saw Ressler pull out some pills from his desk on Monday night’s new episode of “The Blacklist,” we were admittedly a little bit confused. Where did he get these from? The last we saw, he was possibly going to undergo some therapy after everything that happened on the show last season. Did the therapist give him these, or did he call up one of Reddington’s stooges who happens to be a master pill salesman? It actually felt like there could have been a part of the story somewhere in here that happened to be cut out.

We don’t know all the finer details here, but we can at least tell you that the show is not going to be avoiding this storyline for a particularly long period of time. According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, things are going to get worse and worse for Diego Klattenhoff’s character, and he will hit his breaking point at a terrible time: In the middle of a mission.

Matthew Kincaid, played by Carel Struycken, is going to be one of his newest targets, and this is a dangerous man who lives in a very remote part of Alaska with his mother. We don’t know precisely what his individual threat level is, but it’s at least bad enough to send Ressler out there. We can’t imagine a worse time for this to happen, though, and in a worse play by sheer proximity alone.
