‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ spoilers: Michael Chiklis, more tease new season

“American Horror Story: Freak Show” is not that far away from opening up the big top, and we’ve got a little more news right now on what you can expect … at least in the form of how some of the cast members perceive their characters.

In the video below, you can see the likes of Michael Chiklis, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, and many more basically lay out what the story for their characters will be when the series heads over to FX on Wednesday night. Many of the characters we’ve met so far have been a part of the show ran be Jessica Lange’s Elsa Mars for quite some time, and the newcomers to the event seem to be Bette and Dot, the two conjoined twins who she finds and brings to the big top.

What makes these two so important for the sake of the story? Elsa is well aware that her show in Jupiter, Florida is starting to die thanks to the rise in other forms of entertainment, and she desperately needs to do something to further draw interest in the show. This could be her biggest moneymaker yet … at least if the townspeople can concentrate on that in the midst of the other madness going on.

In the end, all we really hope this season are some people we find ourselves rooting for, and also a story that makes sense from start to finish. Around halfway through “Coven,” there were so many random detours and changes that we almost had no idea what was going on anymore.
