‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: Could wild-card act help Blonde Electric, Stevi Ritchie?

The judges -This weekend, “The X Factor” UK is officially kicking off the madness known as judges’ houses, but it looks like we are going to have a somewhat-different process of picking wild-card acts than usual.

Based on what we are hearing, there will be four wild cards chosen this year, but the twist here is that a different judge will choose them rather than their own mentor. For example, someone like Simon Cowell or Cheryl could choose the group for Louis Walsh, while Louis could choose the act for someone else. In the event that Simon doesn’t put Stevi Ritchie through to the next round and Louis picks his wild-card, we almost are 100% positive that this is going to go down. It’ll be too much for him to possibly resist in a million years.

Ironically, we feel like upping the field to 16 acts for the first live show really benefits one of the camp acts like Stevi or girl group Blonde Electric, if Louis continues to prove that he is utterly insane. Many of the actually-talented acts blend together in the early going, and this gives the acts with a big personality a chance to stick around for a little while. Make no mistake, though, that someone like this will actually win the competition.

We’re going to be reviewing the three judges houses show this week, but the ones who are most likely locks to move forward are Chloe Jasmine, the unnamed group of boys, Jay James, and Paul Akister. We’ll have to see what else happens. (Update: Read here for the latest on the wild cards!)
