‘Reign’ season 2, episode 2 preview: Beyond the plague with Adelaide Kane, cast
Where does the story go from here on “Reign“? The season 2 premiere of the series featured the plague, and challenges galore for Mary, both personal and professional. As you would expect, it was a lot to sift through, and it’s not going to be any easier moving forward … even if there is not so much a risk of imminent death.
“Drawn and Quartered” is the name of the next new episode that will be airing next week, and the official synopsis below gives you a good sense of how all of these characters, which also includes Kenna and Bash, will be up to moving forward:
“In the aftermath of the plague, a powerful lord (guest star Craig Parker) discovers that Mary (Adelaide Kane) was responsible for the death of his son and demands vengeance, testing the loyalties of Mary, Francis (Toby Regbo) and Catherine (Megan Follows). Francis returns to the castle with Lola (Anna Popplewell) and their newborn son, creating tension with Mary. Greer (Celina Sinden) is torn by her loyalty to her fiancé, Lord Castleroy (guest star Michael Therriault), who blames Leith (Jonathan Keltz) for his daughter’s demise. Meanwhile, Kenna (Caitlin Stasey) urges Bash (Torrance Coombs) to be formally recognized in his new role.”
For the time being, all we hope is that as time progresses, we start to see more and more of just how capable a ruler Mary really is. We’re seeing glimpses of it already, but by no means is she anywhere near what she is actually capable of just yet.
