‘Masters of Sex,’ ‘Ray Donovan’ season 3: First teaser promos released by Showtime

If you love “Ray Donovan” and “Masters of Sex,” it is certainly more than okay to be excited about the upcoming seasons. However, at the same time, you also have to realize and acknowledge that they are still quite a long ways away from airing.

Showtime likes to release “teaser” promos for new seasons after the most-recent one is through airing, but they all follow what we would refer to as their traditional model. Specifically, there is nothing in here that qualifies as a spoiler at all for what is coming up ahead. You don’t have any further scoop on the characters, the story, or the surprises for either show in the wake of what happened. Then again, we wouldn’t say that either left on a particularly big cliffhanger in the first place.

The only reason we figure that Showtime continues to release these teasers is to simple serve as a reminder, that there will be more coming up for the shows after they are over. After all, there is really no other reason when it comes to specific motivation here. Neither series has filmed, and the writing processes for them is still in the infancy stages. They really could not give away a whole lot when it comes to the story even if they really wanted to.

So when could we actually have some real footage of what could be coming up for these shows? You’re going to be waiting for a while. Our guess is the spring, at least based on what we’ve seen with other shows in the past.
