Did you see Brian Fraser during the first episode episodes of “Outlander“? Sure, but we’d be lying if we were to say that this is an appearance that has not happened to date, but the difference here is that his first appearance in “The Garrison Commander” was done in a blind of an eye.
Suffice it to say, there is a whole lot more of this character coming up now. Speaking in a new interview with TVLine, series creator Ron D. Moore had the following to say about just what you can expect from an upcoming flashback moving forward:
“There will be a flashback in a subsequent episode where we will revisit that episode at Fort William, and we’ll identify Brian more clearly.”
One of the luxuries about the show getting a surprising order of 16 episodes for the first season is that it yields all sorts of opportunities to include scenes from the books. Typically, these shows face situations where they have to cut a whole lot of content out. Specifically, we’ve seen that time and time again with “Game of Thrones.” Heck, we expect the upcoming fourth book in the George R.R. Martin series to be finely chopped up when it actually airs more next year.
Obviously, there are some other scenes from the books coming up that will be more than violent, so you have to also be on the lookout for those.
The next eight episodes of “Outlander” will premiere come Saturday, April 4, which seems at the moment like an eternity away. Luckily, we are going to have quite a bit more in the way of scoop in the weeks and months ahead. Stay tuned, and for the time being, you can get some more news over at the link here.
