There may not be a whole lot of episode title news out there for “The Mentalist” (or news in general right now), but why not spend a second here and share what we have heard.
In a new post on Twitter, writer-producer Jordan Harper confirmed that “Little Yellow House” will be the title for the seventh episode this coming season, which we rather like. It has a certain sweet, idealistic quality to it, almost like you are seeing something that Jane and Lisbon would want to call home someday. That’s just reading a whole lot into it, though, since the title could be a reference to something entirely different.
This episode is set to be written by Marisa Wegrzyn, who is at least not credited on IMDb for writing any other past installment of the show before this season.
In case you missed it, it does look like the plan is in fact for this to be the final season of the show. Cast member Tim Kang (Cho) tweeted this out earlier this year, just in case there was anyone hoping that the show could still get another renewal somehow. There is no official premiere date just yet for the new season, either, but our guess for the time being is early March 2015. The ratings for most of CBS’ new lineup have been solid enough to keep any of them from being quick cancellations, so they may not need to fill any holes in their schedule until then. The only remaining wild card left is “Stalker,” which premieres on CBS starting tonight.
