‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7 spoilers: Walton Goggins on next Venus Van Dam appearance

Last night on “Sons of Anarchy,” we had the glorious return of one of our favorite characters in Venus Van Dam, and with this, we had one of her biggest moments in the form of her first kiss with Tig (Kim Coates).

Is there some sort of future here for the two characters? It certainly sounds like it, at least based on what we’re hearing now. According to Entertainment Weekly, Venus will return in the tenth episode of the series, which is also notable in that it seems that Tig survives at least that long. We basically worry about the guy dying on a weekly basis at this point.

In speaking to the publication, Goggins had the following to say about one big moment that will happen between these two characters that we should keep a look out for:

“There is a conversation that happens that is as poetic and—I will start crying talking about it right now—as beautiful and as real as any conversation that I’ve ever read on paper between two people. What it will ultimately say about Tig, and who he is in the world, and how he deals with Venus and how she deals with him—I think you’re gonna see honesty and a vulnerability that is very rarely explored.”

At the moment, it’s hard to say what the endgame for Venus will be, but we really hope she doesn’t die. She is up there on the list with Abel and Unser on the list of characters we really want to see make it through the run of the show. We don’t feel nearly as optimistic for the likes of Jax, Gemma, Juice, and others wrapped up in violence and despair.
