‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2, episode 3 preview: Is Simmons turning to the dark side?
Next week, “Agents of SHIELD” season 2 will be coming back on the air again, and “Making Friends and Influencing People” may actually make you pretty darn afraid. Why? Let’s just say that HYDRA is going to be more than interested in adding some new faces into the fold.
Could one of those new faces be Simmons? The promo below makes us worry, since this evil organization is trying to regroup by getting some of the best and brightest to jump on board. You can see a little more of what to expect in the short synopsis below:
“Coulson and his team race against HYDRA to get to Donnie Gill–a dangerous [man] gifted with the ability to freeze objects–while Simmons is caught in the crossfire.”
There are still quite a few surprises ahead, and while we would have been okay if we had seen the end of the HYDRA storyline last season, we also are fine with it continuing … at least so long as there are interesting twists like this. Coulson is great at his job, and due to that you need to discover new ways to make him feel threatened. Sometimes, that includes throwing some threats at him that are not always outside forces. The most dangerous strikes are the ones that come from within.
Also, remember that we are only two episodes into the season, and if things are already this crazy now, they are sure to only get more insane as time progresses the rest of the way. Let’s just hope for no more major deaths for a good while.

If Simmons has indeed turned to the other band, I’ll quit watching AOS. I just couldn’t bear it.

I was thinking she was with Hydra to help Fitz. I like the pacing, but I do wish they show more Ward. His character has become super interesting and I am loving his conflict since he lost everything and everybody. Psychologically, he’s a very interestng character.

No, I think she is becoming Hydra to find a cure for Fitz.

I agree. I also think she’s mad at Coulson for not letting her investigate the GH-325 drug at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, when they had their argument on The Bus last season. No one told Simmons its source was the blue alien and I wonder if she left the team because she thinks Coulson allowing her to research the cure then could have saved Fitz now.
