‘The Bridge’ season 2 finale spoilers: How will Marco, Sonya’s story end for now?
Wednesday night on FX, we are set to see the end of “The Bridge” season 2, and quite possible the series as a whole. Ultimately, we are just trying to do our best right now to prepare in advance for the possibility of this happening.
This season has been at times very confusing, and while there has been plenty of weird, psychological stuff, we feel in the end still yearning for the simplicity of the first one. We’ve lost big characters this year in Charlotte and quite possibly Stephen, but the struggle is that we don’t quite know who the real Big Bad is. Is it Fausto Galvan, Elenaor, some corrupt folks in law enforcement, all of the above? It really just depends on who you are.
For the finale, Sonya and Hank are going to team up in order to try put a pin on this current case, while Marco once again remains entrenched in a game of survival. Daniel and Adriana are going to continue to investigate the corrupted relationship between the DEA and the CIA, which is one of the reasons these characters have had so much trouble to begin with.
If there is another season of “The Bridge,” we will most likely not hear about it for many more weeks. FX has a little bit of time to make a decision; the one thing potentially helping the show is that with both “Sons of Anarchy” and “Justified” ending, it may benefit them to have a few established series around.
