‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2 spoilers: Coulson and more surprises

Where is the story going moving forward on “Agents of SHIELD” season 2? Well, we are hoping that it will be navigating in some interesting places with mysteries all over the place. Not only that, but Clark Gregg’s Phil Coulson is going to encounter plenty of surprises.

The upcoming fourth episode of the season, airing on Tuesday, October 14, is entitled “Face My Enemy,” which is certainly an interesting name. The official synopsis below is a little taste of just what you can expect:

“While on a mission to learn more about the secrets of the mysterious writing, Coulson finds himself attacked by the only person he can trust: Agent Melinda May. Meanwhile the rest of the team is trapped in an explosive situation, and it’s up to Fitz to save them–but is he up to it?”

Looking back to a year ago, we would have never thought that “Agents of SHIELD” would have risen to the level of excitement that it is now. However, we are now in an interesting situation where almost anything can happen, friends can become enemies, and enemies can become friends.

The show has already delivered its first major shocker of the entire season: Losing Hartley after one episode. When the show first announced that we are going to see Lucy Lawless as a guest star, our assumption is that she would last a good bit longer.

Unfortunately, it’s hard to really know what else to expect with this episode, given that there are episodes ahead and plenty other stories to tell.
