‘White Collar’ season 6: Matt Bomer lines up another post-show gig
Matt Bomer is clearly having himself a very busy few months. He’ll be in the final season of “White Collar” starting this November, and he also has a one-episode gig on “American Horror Story” coming up at some point around the middle of the season. (This is at least our estimation of where it will be, based on the information that we have.)
Film-wise, we know that he is working right now on the “Magic Mike” sequel, and we’ve learned that he will follow that up with the drama “Nice Guys.” Directed by “Iron Man 3’s” Shane Black, Bomer will play a man caught up in a massive conspiracy. Russell Crowe stars as a notorious gangster in 1970s Los Angeles, and he hires a detective (Ryan Gosling) to look into a case involving a missing girl. Bomer’s character is tied into that case, but that is all that has been concerned.
“White Collar” and “The Normal Heart” have been great showcases of Matt’s talent, which is why we are seeing him get so many movie roles now. With that being said, we don’t feel like this is a case where he is gravitating towards movies and movies only. With the resume that he has, he will probably be a man moving forward who just follows quality, and will appear wherever he will find good work. Hopefully, Willie Garson, Tim DeKay, and the rest of the cast will follow suit. We hope that they will enter pilot season either this year or next, that way we get another potential chance to see them on TV very soon.
