‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ premiere will run 90 minutes

American Horror Story -For those who want a little more horror in your “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” the news in the title should make you more than excited. Co-creator Ryan Murphy confirmed the news on Twitter, and while not all programming guides may have the information confirmed just yet, trust us when we say that it is accurate.

We cannot say that we are remotely surprised by this, mostly because this is something that we’ve seen FX do on so many different occasions in the past. Heck, they do it at this point with “Sons of Anarchy” almost every episode. Their logic for doing this is pretty sound, and it makes a whole lot of sense. If the ratings are going to be great, why not give people a whole lot of what they want? The viewers will be there, and so long as there is the story present to merit the length, there is really nothing for anyone to complain about.

This season will officially start come Wednesday, October 8 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, and to say that we expect big ratings would be an ultimate understatement. We actually expect to see ratings that are by and large through the roof. This, coupled with “Sons of Anarchy,” are the two biggest shows that FX has.

Hopefully, we will have some further news and updates related to the show very soon, so be on the lookout for that. Murphy has promised that there will be many more surprises on the way this week.
