‘The Walking Dead’ season 5: New promo all about Lauren Cohan, Steven Yeun

While the latest “Walking Dead” teaser video, AMC is focusing on who may be two of the show’s most beloved characters in Glenn and Maggie. They’ve gone through a lot as a couple, and for at least a short amount of time in season 4, it looked like they could be separated together. That’s what made their big reunion near the end all the sweeter.

So is there a reason to worry about them again in the fifth season? We would assume so, but there is also just as much a reason to worry about everyone. As the show moves in a more urban area as they try to make it to Washington with Eugene, more and more lives will be at risk. Also, there could also be a new Big Bad popping up eventually, and that always means bad news for one or two members of the core cast. We already have it on good authority that at least one major character will die, and the show will be upping the ante after keeping most everyone safe during the second half of season 4. (Lizzie was the only big exception to the rule.)

As for whether or not it would benefit the show to kill off Glenn or Maggie, we’re torn. It would reinforce that nobody on the show is safe, but they do at the same time represent hope that you can find something good in the midst of the zombie apocalypse. There are not a whole lot of other characters who have gotten anything good out of this; the only other one you could argue for right now is Daryl, given that he has found some sort of family.
