‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: A small tease from Chris Soules’ first night
As many diehard fans of “The Bachelor” may now at this point, the series filmed its first night earlier this weekend featuring none other than leading man Chris Soules.
How did it go? Of course, the powers-that-be are not going to be so shrewd as to give a whole lot of information away. With that being said, we do at least have a tiny tease now courtesy of the show’s creator Mike Fleiss on Twitter: “Great– and bizarre– night one! Gonna be a wild ride.”
Without question, the word that really appeals to us in here is “bizarre,” given that this suggests some sort of great departure from the norm. We would absolutely love to see something like this from the show, at least in the event it was actually true and we were going to see something completely unusual and out-of-character for the first night. So many times, it is basically the equivalent of getting to see the same thing play out time and time again, and that in itself can be very frustrating. You have 25 or so men / women show up to the mansion, there are some quick contenders, and then someone makes a complete buffoon out of themselves and ends up getting sent home early. Also, people drink too much.
We don’t really see Chris as a lead doing much to change this reputation of the first night at all. Regardless of how great or serious about love the Bachelor may be, casting likes to throw a couple of “big personalities” in there to stir the pot. We’d say that of the people that the show casts, really only around 60% or so have an actual chance at winning.
