ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: ‘Once Upon a Time in the West’

Are we about to see a crossover episode of “Castle” that features elements of both “Once Upon a Time” and “Hell on Wheels”? While we would totally be down for watching something like that, we have to tell you for the time being that the answer here is “no.”

Instead, the title above in “Once Upon a Time in the West” is the title for the upcoming seventh episode of the season, and you’ve probably heard a little about this one already. It is the one that will feature Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) taking on a case at an old-timey dude ranch that is going to be stuffed full of familiar characters. We’ve said this a few times, but these are probably our favorite episodes of “Castle” to watch because they re entertainment comfort food. While we may be moved more by some of the premieres / finales and the ones that feature heavy emotional stuff, they are a lot harder to watch more than once, given that you know every beat that is coming. It’s hard to replicate emotion. We love these episodes that are out there and you can put on at any point to brighten up your day a little.

Let’s just hope that this one comes close to “Time Will Tell” or “The Final Frontier,” two of our favorite episodes of this kind from the past couple of years. We at least like everything that we are hearing about it so far.
