‘The Newsroom’ season 3 spoilers: Go behind the scenes with Jeff Daniels, cast

The wait until the November 9 season premiere of “The Newsroom” is getting shorter by the day, and we’re thrilled to be able to say that.

One other thing that we are thrilled about? Having a brand-new video to share that is all about the show! You can see everyone from Jeff Daniels to Olivia Munn to even show creator Aaron Sorkin discussing some of the themes and storylines that they hope to explore when the series returns to HBO.

This also happens to be the most spoiler-filled discussion of the entire series to date, as the main plot seemingly revolves around Neal (Dev Patel) finding some valuable information that makes him a target of an investigation, and leads to constant demands for him and ACN to give up their source. It is basically the story of journalism versus the government, and these two sides will be waging war for quite an extended period of time.

Who knows? Maybe there will eventually in here be a compromise, but it seems unlikely.

Another storyline is going to revolve heavily around social media, and the pressures that ACN as a network will feel in terms of relying on Twitter and other websites for information in a world where more and more people are doing so. You can get 2,000 tweets on a given subject within minutes, but what is the real point of this if these tweets ultimately mean nothing? Are you just creating a business that is doomed to fail when it comes to credibility by using them?
