‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2 spoilers: More on the plans for Mockingbird

So far, Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” has already managed to pull off one major blindside this season, and that came in the form of killing off Hartley (Lucy Lawless) just a single episode into the new season.

Could there be more surprises along the way? We might as well just go and rephrase that: There will be surprises along the way! Just remember for a minute what sort of show you are dealing with here! Hartley is just the beginning, and there could be more that you see with the arrival of Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki) to the scene. While not much is known about her character right now, executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen promises to Entertainment Weekly that you will see her try to put her sex appeal to good use:

”That is a quality and something that is very inherent in a lot of spy dealings … It’s not really dealt with firsthand, and that might be something that we dive into with Mockingbird.”

Personally, we are very much excited to see what comes here, mostly because it feels like Palicki is finally getting the role in this franchise that she has deserved for a rather long time. Just remember all of the hype surrounding that “Wonder Woman” adaptation, and how big of a thud it made when that did not work out in the way that anyone was expecting it to. We still want to hope that this property can survive somehow.
