If you’ve followed the journey of Klaus and company since they were on “The Vampire Diaries,” then you know that Kol is popular … very popular. No character has been demanded more to be a part of “The Originals” than him.
Well, we can at least promise that you will see Kol during the second episode of season 2 entitled “Alive and Kicking,” at least in the form of flashbacks back to the 1700s. He is not discussed heavily in the official synopsis below (that revolves more around Mikael and Davina’s plans), we know that he will be involved still:
“As tensions between Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) grow, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) steps in and encourages her to regain her position within her werewolf pack. Still under Davina’s (Danielle Campbell) control, Mikael (Sebastian Roche) grows impatient while she attempts to uncover a spell that would protect those closest to her. When Elijah turns to Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) for help in tracking down a vital piece of information, he is forced to remember a time long ago when they were on better terms. Meanwhile, Davina and Kaleb (guest star Daniel Sharmon) find themselves in a dangerous situation when unexpected visitors show up and crash their dinner. Finally, Klaus grows suspicious after a meeting with Cassie (guest star Natalie Dreyfuss) doesn’t go as he had planned.”
Could we see Kol stop by in the present someday? We’re not ruling it out, mostly because we know how this show operates the majority of the time. They love to bring people back from the dead, and if Mikael can return, it’s hard to imagine a situation where Kol is unable to do so. Unfortunately, we don’t have anything permanent to report.
