‘Supernatural’ season 10 spoilers: News on ‘Reichenbach,’ Metatron, and Jensen Ackles

Supernatural -The CW released a ton of press releases today for their upcoming episodes airing the week of October 13, and that includes “Reichenbach,” the second installment of “Supernatural” season 10 airing on October 14.

As you would imagine, Jensen Ackles is still going to have some fun stuff to play in here, but Demon Dean may not be coming any closer to the light. As a matter of fact, the Mark of Cain is going to prove itself to be very problematic. This episode will also mark the return of the always-great Curtis Armstrong as Metatron, and focus on Sam finding himself in a different but still perilous situation. Take a look at the synopsis below:

“Crowley (Mark Sheppard) notices Dean (Jensen Ackles) is becoming more and more aggressive. Dean tells him that’s the side effect of being a demon, but Crowley knows it’s something more – the Mark of Cain needs to be fed. Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki) is captured by Cole (guest star Travis Aaron Wade), an angry man who blames Dean for his father’s death years ago and wants revenge. Cole tortures Sam, hoping he’ll tell him where Dean is hiding. Hannah (guest star Erica Carroll) sees how weak Castiel (Misha Collins) is becoming as his grace continues to fade, so she makes a bold choice and asks Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong) for help.”

There is a lot going on, but that excited us given how early we still are in the season. After all, there are not that many opportunities that we have to see a story this complicated in the early going, and traditionally, it takes a little bit of time before building to something like this.
