‘Outlander’ season 2 spoilers: Ready for some (early) casting scoop?

Here is something that you certainly do not have every day: Casting news for a show’s second season, even though more than half of the first season has still yet to air.

Still, this is just the world that we are living in when it comes to “Outlander” at the moment. With the show’s ratings and buzz gradually rising, we only expect there to be more and more when it comes to scoop on the show’s future coming out in the weeks ahead. If there’s the demand out there, then why not?

What we can at least tell you now is as follows. According to a new report from TVLine, the show is casting the character of Brianna “Bree” Randall. We don’t want to say too much in this story for those who read the books, though they will know clearly who this is. What you should know is that she is 20 years old, and she is described as being “practical,” “funny,” and also “beautiful.”

The biggest thing that this casting news means to us is that the story will be progressing in a big way in the second half of season 1, and that the show will be expanding the world for Claire in the near future.

Still, there are so many stories that we have to get to before we even make it to that point, including whatever is going to happen moving forward with Jamie and Claire in the wake of their recent wedding.
