‘Under the Dome’ season 2 finale spoilers: Joe, Norrie, and regret

Monday night, the story on “Under the Dome” will end for the time being, and we will be left to sit back and wonder whether or not the ending is a satisfying one.

For Joe and Norrie, these two are stuck currently playing a game of “what if” while speculating if they are going to be able to actually get out from their current prison. At times, there are moments where they start to have a little hope; but then, the possibility of death or other terrible things happening to them starts to make them worry yet again.

For Norrie, she misses her mother deeply, and also regrets that fact that she did something so trivial that landed her in this position in the first place. For Joe, his regrets are just making one decision that forced him to be trapped.

Is this all really “what the dome wanted”? We imagine that for most of the cast, this has to be the hardest part of the story to wrap their heads around. The idea of them all just being pawns, destined to be in this position thanks to a dome they do not really understand, has to be a fairly-frustrating thing to deal with.

This finale will be about destiny, and whether or not these characters do really have the power to defy the dome and make a move with their own self-reliance in mind. Ultimately, we are just going to have to wait and see what happens.
