‘Masters of Sex’ season 2, episode 11 preview: Bill and Virginia’s awkward story

While Dr. William Masters may be one of the most brilliant men out there when it comes to the science of human sexuality, let’s just say that he is not quite the TV presence. For some more on that, all you have to do is check out the latest “Masters of Sex” sneak peek below.

In this preview, what you can see is Michael Sheen’s character alongside Virginia (Lizzy Caplan), as the two are trying to prepare for their next major gig: Television. Clearly, Bill is not so comfortable discussing how he and his research partner first met, and she ends up doing most of the talking for him. Not only that, but Bill is struggling even when it comes to smiling.

The magnificence of Sheen here is something that is very easy to overlook, if for no other reason than that he has been so brilliant in this role for so long. If you’re interested in getting some further perspective on him, a great bit of advice we could give you is to go back and watch some of his interviews away from the show. There, you will realize that he is actually very dynamic in front of the camera, loves to smile, and has a great sense of humor.

As for where this television taping is going to take him and Virginia, the good news is that the two are closer to having their career take off. However, with a new career come other changes, and the two also have to prepare themselves for that.
