‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ spoilers: First look at Pepper (again)

“American Horror Story: Freak Show” took a huge risk when they decided that they wanted to tie this world directly to the one that was in the second season “Asylum,” and while we are still interested in seeing how that plays out, we are at least interested in the idea of seeing Pepper again.

FX recently released the first photo of the character’s return, and she certianly looks very much like the same Pepper that you can to know very well over at Briarcliff. Will she bring with her the same wild personality? That is very likely, and what we are particularly interested in seeing here is the show try to connect some of the dots between where this character was at the time “Freak Show” begins, and how this is eventually carried into everything else that happens leading to her being sent off to Briarcliff. Clearly, these things are going to be linked.

Do we still have a problem with Pepper existing in a world where there are two different Jessica Lange characters? Sure, but this is probably not one of those things that we’re supposed to think very much about. After all, we would not use “realistic” as one of our primary adjectives to describe this show.

The new season of “American Horror Story” officially kicks off on FX come Wednesday, October 9, so the great news that we have to report right now is that you really aren’t going to have to wait that long to see anything else that comes up. Let’s just hope that the story lives up to the high hopes we have for it.
