‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11, episode 1 video: Camilla Luddington’s Jo in action

In just a week from Thursday, “Grey’s Anatomy” is going to be back for another season, and we’re here now with a quick first look at what you can expect. For now, what we will say is that if you are a big fan of the Jo character, you may appreciate that she is front and center here.

With that being said, this is hardly a cheery video for Camilla Luddington or anyone else that is featured, since this is largely of the “medical emergency” variety. In the midst of dealing with an assortment of personal issues and relationships, this is a show that does still handle the routine medical crisis, and this is what ABC has chosen to give us for the time being.

Will we see something a little more focused on long-term plots eventually? Probably, but there is no reason for the show to rush it given that we are still over a week away. For Jo in particular, we wonder if this will be the season that her and Alex finally make some big moves when it comes to her personal life. We feel like it just around the bend, even though there are some hurdles still in the way. We’ll have to figure out still what some of those are going to be, but we are excited to find out!

While this has been labeled in some ways as the “season of Meredith,” don’t worry if you love some other characters. They are also going to get plenty of time to shine.
