ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion visit the (new?) Old West
For those of you who appreciate the lighter side of “Castle” and really live for some of the storylines that tend to teeter a little bit on the “silly” side, you are going to find ultimately quite a bit to like with this story. After all, it revolves around sending Castle and Beckett to an unfamiliar (but exciting) place.
Per a new report coming in from TVLine, an upcoming episode will send both Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters to some sort of modern-day equivalent of a dude ranch. Our guess is that it is one of those places where people dress up in old-timey costumes and speak in a certain way. Given that “Castle” has done a Western-themed photo shoot in the past, we’re actually surprised that this story has not been brought to the table before now.
There are also some specific characters that the show is looking to cast for this particular story, and they include a sheriff, a “muscular, sexy gay cowboy” (seriously, that’s what the report says), the sheriff’s wife, and at least one ranch hand.
This episode sounds like a whole lot of fun, and we figure that we will probably be begging for it at around the time that the episode (the seventh of the season) airs. After all, just remember for a minute what we have before that: There is the super-serious journey to find Rick, and from there, you still have to learn who is responsible for taking him in why. It is possible that there is a wedding somewhere in these first six episodes, as well, but that has not been confirmed.

You can put them in the desert or on the moon – but general assessments are- they either get married pretty soon – or people will get bored. Romantic tension can only last so long – anyone who has spent time in a back seat knows that!

I like the funny ones now and then, mostly then, because the lighthearted ones tend to be too silly. This smacks of silly, but here’s hoping.
