‘The Newsroom’ season 3 spoilers: Jeff Daniels, Olivia Munn, and a meta new teaser trailer
Now that we finally have a premiere date for “The Newsroom” season 3 in Sunday, November 9, the good news that we have now is that HBO is starting to get their publicity campaign completely under way for the show.
With that, we present you with the latest teaser trailer below! This one aired before a new “Boardwalk Empire” episode, which seems to be the tradition at the moment. This teaser had a particularly meta feel to it, mostly because you were seeing two different things play out throughout. First, you had the camera crew filming the show, and then you had the fake camera crew filming the fake news show. It’s an interesting take on proceedings that bends our minds a little bit.
While you see plenty of Jeff Daniels, Olivia Munn, Emily Mortimer, and the rest of the cast in here, this is not a teaser that we’re going to be able to go back and really analyze to a great degree. There’s nothing really that happens here! Upon first glance, nothing was happening of substance outside of seeing Aaron Sorkin and company; we watched again to see if we could spot a wedding ring on Mackenzie’s finger to see what had happened in her personal life since we last saw the character, but the camera didn’t pan down far enough.
Hopefully, we will get some more teasers and other fun video stuff coming up in the weeks ahead, so stay tuned. We’re going to have even more news soon on everything!
