‘Homeland’ season 4 spoilers: See first official details from premiere ‘The Drone Queen’
For some reason, we specifically think of “Game of Thrones” and some powerful woman with a robot army the moment that we hear the words “The Drone Queen,” when in actuality this is just the title for the season 4 premiere of “Homeland.”
What can you expect to see in this episode, which is the first of two airing back to back on Sunday, October 5? While Showtime is understandably coy about the story ahead, they did (per SpoilerTV) share at least a few details about how Carrie may be in a difficult position:
“Carrie returns to the states for an inquiry; Quinn spirals out of control; a disgraced former case officer reveals information.”
The part of this that actually shocks us more than the mention of Carrie’s story is hearing a few other details about Quinn’s storyline. This is a guy who is supremely skilled at what he does, and him being out-of-control is basically bad news for almost everyone.
What we also know about the season for now is that the story will mostly feature the characters in Afghanistan, where Carrie is now working as a Section Chief for the CIA. For those of you who want to see a real, gritty side to being a spy overseas, this will really be your opportunity more than you see on other shows traditionally. We’re excited to see what comes up next, especially since this could end up being a great moment of redemption for the series after a disappointing season 3.
