‘Masters of Sex’ season 2, episode 10 preview: Bill confesses a secret to Virginia

For the majority of “Masters of Sex,” Dr. William Masters has carried with him a pretty significant secret, and one that could cause his entire life to come crumbling if he were to reveal it: His impotence.

It is not him being impotent that is the problem here; instead, it is the dishonesty, and what he has put others like Libby through just because of his own ego and narcissistic tendencies. In the sneak peek video below, he describes it more as being “broken” while he implores Virginia that she really is the only person who can ultimately fix them.

Bill seems intent on tacking on a cure for impotence to everything else that the two are going to be working on in the study, and feels like this is a way to get back to what he believes is at the core of all of the work that they do. Will this really be successful for him? This is something we’ll just have to wait and see about, but the show really does need to make a few significant moves forward now. There are only three episodes left in this second season, and we assume here that sooner or later, the series really would want to do everything in its power to move forward and get to where the show needs to be in the end.

As for whether or not Virginia can really help him quite like Bill thinks, we’ll have to wait and see how the show handles that.
