ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7: Nathan Fillion’s Rick, a mystery takes center stage in latest art
Where in the world is Richard Castle? Think of this as the new Carmen Sandiego mystery, except in this case minus the catchy theme song.
Still, “Castle” makes it very clear in their latest art from season 7 that the man focus of the story proceedings is going to be trying to figure out what in the world is going on with Nathan Fillion’s character, and if there is any way for all of this to be reversed.
In the end, we have a hard time thinking that it will be possible for Castle and Beckett to go back once the dust is settled and live the same exact life that they had before. Can they still be happy? Sure, but there is a new ghost from Rick’s past that they will have to deal with, one who was largely responsible for him being captured and completely destroying the couple’s wedding.
In the end, the goal of this story is to further inform us about the Rick character, and possibly to explain why he acts the way that he does now. There are some dark layers to the man’s life, even though on the surface he may come across as some sort of free-wheeling mystery author with thousands upon thousands of adoring fans.
As the art gives away, the new season of “Castle” begins on Monday, September 29, but we’ll have some further news before then. Hopefully, there will also be at some point a brand-new trailer released by ABC.
