You may have heard a good many headlines as of late for many of the major characters of “Downton Abbey,” whether you are talking about the likes of Mary (Michelle Dockery), Anna (Joanne Froggatt), or even the possibly-departing Rose (Lily James).
But what about some of the familiar faces downstairs? They are in many ways the lifeblood of the show, even though they often do not get all of the they attention. Take, for example, the man who makes sure that everything is constantly in good shape in Mr. Carson. Will he start to unravel as the story progresses? Speaking in a new interview with STV, Jim Carter at least does his part to explain how there more be more wrenches thrown into the way in which he is accustomed to doing things:
“Time has moved on a bit, a Labour government [is in power] which causes Mr Carson a certain amount of dismay but otherwise it’s the same shenanigans with romance and heartbreak.”
So what about another character in Thomas? We know him as the master deceiver, and per Rob James-Collier, this is not something that is going to stop anytime soon:
“I can tell you this: Thomas is till up to his old tricks. He’s blackmailing Baxter, that will all come to a head. Will she be exposed? Will she be outcast from Downton Abbey?”
Based on what we’ve seen so far, we’d guess that Thomas would be more than fine with that.
