‘Homeland’ season 4 spoilers: The distance between the show and Brody
While we have heard that there is a metaphorical ghost that hangs over “Homeland” season 4 as far as Nicholas Brody goes, that does not necessarily mean that even his name will be spoken.
According to a new report from TV Guide, we have a pretty big surprise here in that Damian Lewis’ character is actually not going to be referenced once in the entire premiere by name. Then again, you could easily make the argument that the lack of a mention of the character’s name makes his absence all the more obvious and painful.
So what will Carrie be focusing on instead? Well, she’s still going to have a ton on her plate. She will helping to head a drone-strike program in Afghanistan, and is taking her new role as Section Chief seriously … very seriously. How much are we talking about here? Well, let’s just say that she does not have a whole lot of time or patience for anything else.
Clearly, there are times in which being this laser-focused can be a good thing, but there are also plenty of times when the arrow points to “no.” Carrie does have other responsibilities in her life now, and when you become so focused on your job almost all of the time, it is very well possible that things can go wrong around you within the blink of an eye.
“Homeland” season 4 premieres on Showtime Sunday, October 5, and we will have further news soon.
