‘Faking It’ season 2 premiere: First photos of Amy, Karma, and the aftermath

If you think back to the season 1 finale of MTV’s “Faking It,” the show basically sent most of the audience into a tailspin with a series of one shocking event after the other. First, there was Amy’s wedding toast, which was a glorified confession that she was actually in love with Karma. Then, there was Amy literally telling Karma to her face that she loved her, and the rejection that followed that. Finally, there was Liam finding out the truth about Karma and Amy’s relationship from the beginning, and then Amy and Liam, due to a combination of heartache and alcohol, jumping into bed together.

Well, the first photos that we have from the September 23 premiere basically show the aftereffects of that incident, starting with whatever is going on above here. How in the world will Amy be able to explain this? We can at least claim that the photo is good evidence that there may still be something to the Amy – Karma friendship, at least if Katie Stevens’ character can get past that initial look of shock and doesn’t actually discover what really happened.

Then, we also have the attached photo here, which we would consider almost the “before” picture to the one above. Clearly, Amy’s going to be none too pleased about what she did the night before, so you should take that as some solace that the show is not suddenly trying to turn the character straight after all the buildup they did last season. There’s also not a plan to make her and Liam into some “will they or won’t they?” couple. They both have to figure out how to deal with this, and there’s also still the question of what’s going to happen back at school As far as we know, the reputation of Amy and Karma there is unchanged.
