‘Criminal Minds’ season 10 spoilers: Expect a new long-term villain
If you were a fan of the Replicator, or some of the other long-term baddies that we have sen on “Criminal Minds” in seasons past, then you are probably going to be thrilled with this news: Another Big Bad is entering the fray soon.
With that being said, there is only so much those affiliated with the show are willing to say about this character … at least for now. Speaking in a new interview with TV Guide, showrunner Erica Messer did her best to try and describe some of what you are going to see, but also said that there has not been a cool villain name established for the role just yet:
“You see that there is a bigger thing going on. It’ll be a big case we touch on again midway through the season … We have our own little shortcut in the [writers’] room [when it comes to a name], but we haven’t landed on anything yet to put out there.”
It is really hard to say what we expect or hope for from this character when there is so little information available, but what we would say by and large is that we really just want to see something exciting, and a guest actor who can really bite into the meaty role and create something that surprises us. We know that the show is certainly capable of casting familiar faces; Mark Hamill was a previous Big Bad, and they even have Jennifer Love Hewitt on board now as a series regular.

they should have Derek’s new clingy girlfriend turn out to be a hidden whack-job, psycho killer, and Penelope has to be the one to save Derek and profess her undying love…

it is official then. This team of writers have just run out of original ideas. Please hire some real writers and get a capable show runner. Then, maybe Criminal Minds would have a capable big unsub.
